Barry Dun

Appointed General Manager in March 2015.  Barry holds a Bachelor of Engineering (Electrical) degree from James Cook University and is a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.  He was originally employed with our Company in 1998 as Shift Supervisor Chemical.  In 2003 he was appointed Assistant Chief Chemist, then Development Manager in 2007 and Chief Operating Officer in 2012.

 

Nathan Holmes

Appointed Commercial Manager in June 2017 and Company Secretary in July 2017, having started with Tully Sugar as Assistant Commercial Manager in June 2016.  Nathan holds a Bachelor of Business (Agribusiness) and a Bachelor of Applied Science (Hons. 1) from the University of Queensland.  His previous experience includes over 20 years in agribusiness management and agricultural commodity trading.

 

Song Liu

Appointed Chief Financial Officer in January 2016.  Song has had ten years background in financial management within COFCO. She also had extensive experience in senior financial roles prior to that.  Song holds an Accounting Diploma and a Graduate Diploma in Financial Accounting.  She is a member of the Ministry of Personnel and is a Fellow of the Chartered Financial Practitioners in Asia Pacific Financial Services Association.

 

Peter Guernieri

Development Manager since August 2015.  Peter previously held the position of Chief Electrical Engineer since July 2003 having held the same position at Proserpine Mill prior to coming to Tully.  He holds an Associate Diploma in Electrical Engineering and is a member of the Institute of Engineers Australia.

 

Johan Nicholson

Engineering Manager for Tully Sugar since May 2013, Johan holds Diplomas in Mechanical Engineering, Fluid Mechanics, Maintenance Management and is a member of Engineers Australia.  He has previous experience in timber mills, manufacturing and projects.

 

Ian Speziali

Electrical Engineering Manager since August 2016, Ian holds an Associate Degree of Electrical Engineering and a Graduate Certificate in Management from Central Queensland University. Ian is also a member of the Institute of Engineers Australia. He was originally employed at Tully Sugar in March 2004 as an Electrical / Instrumentation and Controls Technician. In 2013, he was appointed to the roll of Electrical Engineer and then Assistant Electrical Engineering Manager in 2015.

 

John Edwards

Production Manager since September 2014.  John commenced working for our Company in 1984.  After spending 12 years as an Instrument Technician, he was promoted in 1999 to Shift Chemist, then in 2011 to Senior Production Chemist.  He holds a Diploma of Management.

 

Tom Peatey

Appointed Cane Supply and Transport Manager in May 2015.  Tom joined Tully Sugar Limited in 2011 as Logistics Co-ordinator.

Tom holds a Certificate in Sugar Chemistry, Bachelor of Agricultural Engineering and a Graduate Diploma in Technology Management.  Tom is a member of the Institute of Engineers Australia.  Tom's career has been in the Sugar Industry gaining experience in Sugar Production, Cane Railway Logistics, Civil Operations, Technical Field Research and Growers Extension. 

 

Neva Storie

Appointed Finance and Administration Manager from January 2016.  Previously Neva has held senior roles in the Finance Section since joining the Company in April 2014.  Neva is an Associate of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants, an Associate of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators, and a Certified Practicing Accountant.

She has previous experience in the mining and manufacturing sectors.

 

Les Lee

Manager of Civil Works since July 2012 having been employed with our Company since April 1996 as Assistant Cane Railway Officer and then Cane Railway Officer.  He has a background in railway construction and maintenance with Queensland Rail.

 

Gary Hivers

Gary was appointed as Human Resources Manager in October 2010.  He holds a Bachelor of Business majoring in Human Resources and Marketing, has completed a Graduate Diploma in Human Resources and is a Chartered Member of the Australian Human Resources Institute.

 

Michael Coleman

Having studied Computer Science and Applied Mathematics at the University of Adelaide and with ten years of experience in commercial computer programming, Michael was appointed to the staff of Tully Sugar in September 1989 as an Analyst/Programmer.  He has filled the senior role in the Company's Information Technology section since 1991.

 

Greg Shannon

Greg joined Tully Sugar Limited in 2012 after 15 years as an Extension-Agronomist with BSES based in North Queensland.  Greg's role is to assist Tully growers in all areas of Sugar Cane Production, from agronomic and farm planning assistance, with the objective of improving productivity in the Tully region.

Greg also provides a link to RD&E efforts for the Tully sugar industry.
